We are seeking an accomplished Brand Design Lead to head our Brand Design team. In this role, you will champion the creative vision and strategic direction of Sumsub's visual identity across marketing touchpoints — from research reports and presentations to social and campaign creative. Your focus will be on building a distinctive, scalable brand system that sustains constant, high-volume creative output with consistent craft.
You will lead the Brand Design team to produce bold, systems-driven creative that elevates our identity and drives recognition across a fast-moving fintech/compliance space. If you have a passion for building brand systems that scale and a sharp eye for confident, graphic craft, this role is for you.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Thinks about brand as a system: You build scalable visual frameworks, component libraries, and documented guidelines, ensuring every report, deck, or social post feels like a natural extension of the whole.
Has a strong, confident point of view on aesthetics: You gravitate toward bold, saturated, graphic, and structurally honest design, and you can articulate that point of view with clear rationale.
Is equally fluent in print and digital: You move comfortably between print production (bleed, CMYK, paper stock, physical layout) and digital marketing formats (social creative, campaign assets, motion), giving both disciplines real craft and attention.
Works comfortably with cross-functional partners: You collaborate fluidly with content and marketing teams, translating business goals and campaign briefs into visual direction that holds together at scale.
Designs with reusability and velocity in mind: You prioritize templates, documented components, and repeatable systems that let a high-output team ship consistently.
Your Role
Creative Leadership — Inspire and mentor the Brand Design team, setting ambitious quality benchmarks and fostering a collaborative environment focused on pushing the boundaries of what our brand can look and feel like.
Brand Strategy & System Ownership — Define and evolve Sumsub's brand system: color, typography, layout conventions, and visual voice. You will keep the identity sharp and current while ensuring it scales cleanly across print collateral, reports, decks, and campaign creative.
Cross-Format Creative Direction — Guide the team across a wide marketing production surface spanning print and digital — research reports, presentation decks, social and LinkedIn creative, campaign landing pages, and event/print collateral — maintaining a confident, structurally honest visual language across every medium.
Quality & Consistency — Establish and uphold brand guidelines and review processes across print and digital work alike. You will conduct regular design reviews, catching inconsistencies in typography, color logic, chart/data-visualization treatment, and layout before they ship.
Delivery Operations — Oversee the team's creative pipeline (briefs, task tracking, prioritization) to keep a high volume of concurrent campaigns and requests moving with strong craft.
Stakeholder Communication — Clearly articulate the "why" behind brand decisions to marketing and leadership, bridging creative execution and business goals to ensure brand work serves the company's growth and credibility.
About You:
Experience: 5+ years specializing in brand design, with a portfolio showing systems thinking across both print and digital marketing formats (reports, decks, campaigns, social, print collateral).
Leadership: 2+ years leading a design team, with a track record of mentoring designers and improving creative workflows.
Aesthetic Point of View: A demonstrable, confident visual sensibility with a natural pull toward bold, saturated, and graphic direction.
Cross-Medium Proficiency: Solid grasp of print production fundamentals (bleed, color modes, print-ready file prep) alongside digital marketing design practices (social formats, campaign assets, basic motion literacy).
Tooling Expertise: Master-level proficiency in Figma, including building and maintaining component libraries and documented brand systems; comfort with presentation and document tools (PowerPoint/Google Slides, InDesign or equivalent for print).
Systems Mindset: Experience building and documenting brand guidelines that a growing team can apply consistently, including conventions for typography scales, chart/data-viz styling, and cross-format layout rules.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
Communication: Fluent in English (C1 or higher) with the ability to manage projects from brief to final delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams.
