Now we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build backend services for our Travel Rule product. This role is an exciting opportunity to work on complex integrations and real-world distributed systems in the crypto compliance domain.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Design and develop backend services for the Travel Rule product, enabling secure data exchange between crypto service providers

• Build and maintain integrations with multiple third-party providers, implementing various partner protocols and APIs

• Work with asynchronous, event-driven architectures to handle slow, unreliable, or partially available external systems

• Ensure high reliability, fault tolerance, and observability of distributed services under real-world constraints

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to evolve the platform and support new regulatory and network requirements

• Take ownership of backend components from design through production and long-term maintenance

About You:

• Strong backend engineering experience (Java or similar languages) with a solid foundation in system design.

• Experience building and maintaining integrations with external systems and third-party APIs.

• Comfortable with asynchronous processing, distributed systems, and failure-prone environments.

• Good understanding of databases (MongoDB, ClickHouse, or similar) and data consistency trade-offs.

• Curious and motivated to work on complex, product-driven problems rather than purely technical challenges.

• Bonus: familiarity with crypto, blockchain fundamentals, or how crypto networks and wallets operate.
