As Editor-in-Chief (Corporate Media), you’ll drive Sumsub’s content strategy, transforming our blog into a high-impact corporate media platform. Through strategic editorial initiatives, you’ll position Sumsub as the go-to source for best practices in verification, compliance, and fraud prevention, growing The Sumsuber beyond a corporate blog to a trusted media source. The ideal candidate is a seasoned content leader with a passion for storytelling, a strategic mindset, and a drive to deliver engaging, relevant content at scale.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Transform Blog into Corporate Media: Shift The Sumsuber into an interactive, journalistic-style platform with a strategic focus on redefined content pillars and community-building.
- Content Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with SEO, product marketing, and design teams to develop a content roadmap that aligns with Sumsub’s goals, generating fresh ideas for blogs, guides, and thought leadership pieces.
- Editorial Oversight: Manage the entire content lifecycle, from ideation to publication, ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in style, and error-free. Work closely with the Managing Editor and Brand Copy Lead.
- SEO & Content Optimization: Partner with the SEO team to drive organic growth through best practices for on-page SEO, keyword strategy, and content optimization. Regularly review content performance metrics to refine the content strategy.
- External Publishing: Plan, create, and publish content on external platforms such as Medium, Quora, and others to broaden reach. Experience with proven success stories on these platforms is essential.
- Expert Recruitment & Development: Recruit and nurture relationships with thought leaders, key opinion leaders and partners for contributions, and collaborate closely with in-house compliance and product experts to create authoritative content.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product marketing, regional marketing, designers, project managers, and other internal stakeholders to create high-quality content. Coordinate with the communications and growth teams to optimize distribution, introduce new formats, and build community.
- Content Research & Development: Conduct thorough research on industry topics, interview internal and external experts, and stay informed on trends to produce insightful, impactful content.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of 2 content writers and 1 SEO content freelancer, providing guidance and support.
- Process Management: Oversee a streamlined editorial workflow, managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and improve content production efficiency.
- Content Optimization: Regularly audit and update content to align with SEO goals and evolving customer needs.
About You:
- 8+ years of experience in content strategy, writing, editing, and content management in a corporate or B2B environment (SaaS, fintech, or digital verification experience preferred).
- Proven track record in developing content calendars, managing to deadlines, and creating content that aligns with brand voice and goals.
- Demonstrated success in driving key KPIs (traffic, subscriber growth, engagement rate, etc.) in previous roles.
- Experience with external platforms such as Medium, Quora, and Reddit, with examples of successful stories and campaigns on these channels.
- Strategic thinker experienced in driving organic growth through SEO best practices and optimizing content based on data.
- Skilled collaborator with experience in working cross-functionally with designers, marketers, project managers, and subject matter experts.
- Audience-focused storyteller with a strong grasp of B2B content needs and a talent for creating compelling narratives for technical and business audiences.
- CMS & SEO proficiency: Experienced in CMS platforms and familiar with SEO tools, such as Superset, Google Analytics and others
- Organizational prowess: Able to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional language skills: A degree in journalism or a background in media is a plus
- Team management experience: Minimum of 2 years managing a team.
