Junior Business Development Manager (Africa)
Now we are looking for a Junior Business Development Manager (Africa) to support Sumsub’s growth managing smaller client accounts across the African region.

Sumsub has over 2,500 clients across the fintech, crypto, transportation, trading and gaming industries including Bitpanda, Wirex, Avis, Bybit, Huobi, Kaizen Gaming, and TransferGo.
Now we are looking for a Junior Business Development Manager (Africa) to support Sumsub’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with prospects, and developing essential sales skills. This is a fully remote position focused on managing smaller client accounts across the African region, allowing senior BDMs to dedicate attention to larger deals. Prior sales experience, specifically within the SaaS, IDV, RegTech, or FinTech industries, are essential.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Conduct targeted market research to identify potential clients in Africa through proactive, outbound outreach.
- Initiate outbound outreach to introduce Sumsub’s solutions, qualify leads, and set meetings for senior team members.
- Independently manage the full sales cycle for smaller client accounts, from initial contact through to contract completion.
- Support senior BDMs in Africa on larger deals by assisting with client follow-ups, preparing materials, and coordinating meetings.
- Map accounts to identify key decision-makers and support client engagement strategies.
- Coordinate with Tech and Legal teams to ensure smooth onboarding, product demos, and contracting.
- Track all lead and deal activity to ensure accurate reporting.
- Conduct regular market analysis to keep the team informed on industry trends and shifts across Africa.
About You:
- 1+ years of proven sales experience with a track record of success, ideally within the SaaS, IDV, RegTech, or FinTech industries.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (additional African languages are a plus).
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with senior BDMs across the continent.
- Self-driven, resilient, and adaptable to a remote work environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed across the African region.
- Regional experience and knowledge of the African market would be considered as a plus.
